At 4:01 p.m., police responded to Jones Street near Springfield Avenue on a report of an unresponsive male inside a vehicle, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. The man was pronounced dead at 4:23 p.m., Fragé said. The man has not been publicly identified and foul play is not suspected, Fragé said. The incident remains under investigation, Fragé said.
