The Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office identified the suspect as Daniel Williams, who was being sought in connection with a shooting that occurred earlier in the afternoon. Authorities announced Williams' capture shortly after 6 p.m., bringing relief to the community. Shelter-In-Place Lifted At Union Catholic High School: Police Police in Fanwood have lifted a shelter-in-place order at Union Catholic High School on the afternoon of Monday, Jan. 22, officers said on Facebook. The order was caused by police activity at the high school on Martine Avenue in Scotch Plains, police said. All schools in Scotch Plains and Fanwood were under the order as a precaution, police said. Officers did not specify what the police activity was.
