'Suspicious Death': Human Remains Found In Union County
Authorities in Union County are investigating last week's discovery of human remains. Plainfield police responded to reports of the remains found near the 800 block of West Front Street in Plainfield around 10 a.m. Dec. 24, acting Union County Prosecutor Lyndsay V. Ruotolo and Plainfield Police Director Lisa Burgess jointly announced Tuesday. Ruotolo said only that the incident is considered a suspicious death and is under investigation. Linden Man, 29, Gunned Down In Broad Daylight
A 29-year-old man was killed in a Linden shooting Monday afternoon, authorities said. Andy Rozelien, of Linden, was shot just before 4 p.m. on the 1600 block of St. Georges Avenue, Acting Union County Prosecutor Lyndsay V. Ruotolo and Linden Police Chief David Hart said Tuesday. Rozelien was taken to Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth, where he was pronounced dead a short while later. A $10,000 reward was being offered in a series of Plainfield shootings killed one person and injured two others Monday evening, authorities said. Plainfield police responding to the 200 block of Pond Place found a 23-year-old man with serious injuries around 9 p.m., Acting Union County Prosecutor Lyndsay V. Ruotolo and Plainfield Police Director Lisa Burgess jointly announced. The man was subsequently pronounced dead.
