False Report Of Shooting Leads To Westfield High School Lockdown: Police Westfield High School was placed on lockdown after a "maliciously false" report of a shooting on the morning of Monday, Sept. 23, authorities said. At 9:53 a.m., the high school reported it received a single phone call from an unidentified person reporting two people were shot inside the school, Westfield police said in a release. Michigan State Shooter Has NJ Ties, Previous Gun Offense The 43-year-old gunman who killed three students and wounded five at Michigan State University before turning the gun on himself Monday, Feb. 13 appears to have New Jersey ties. The shooter was identified by MSU Interim Deputy Chief Chris Rozman as Anthony McRae. According to a report by the New York Post and her obituary, McRae's late mother was born and lived in Trenton. Columbia High School Student Dead, Another Injured In Sports Field Shooting An 18-year-old high school student died and another was injured in a shooting at a sports field Sunday night, authorities said. Columbia High School junior Moussa Fofana, of Maplewood, was shot at Underhill Sports Complex around 9:30 p.m., according to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office said.  He was pronounced dead at the scene approximately one hour later.
