Teen Jailed In Head-On That Injured Rutherford Officer UPDATE: An 18-year-old thief from Newark who injured a Rutherford police officer when he rammed a stolen sedan head-on into a cruiser remained jailed on a host of offenses. Nyaad A. Johnson was charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, as well as resisting arrest, burglary, receiving stolen property and employing a juvenile in a crime. Officer Stuart Madison, meanwhile, was treated at Hackensack University Medical Center before being released later in the day. The fire apparently broke out in the attic of a 2½-story, wood-frame home on Belford Avenue near Jackson Avenue around 1:30 p.m. Firefighters knocked the two-alarmer down in minutes and had it under control in well under a half hour. Rutherford Man, 34, Expecting Sex With 14-Year-Old Busted In Sting: Bergen Prosecutor An unemployed Rutherford man who authorities said headed to Paramus expecting sex with an underage boy was instead arrested by Bergen County prosecutor’s detectives. Sean Dynan, 34, “engaged in sexually explicit dialogue” with Cyber Crimes Unit investigators before arranging the meeting, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. Next thing he knew, he was in handcuffs. Dynan was charged with luring and child endangerment and sent to the Bergen County Jail on Wednesday, March 29. He remained there Sunday pending court action.

It was just after 4:30 a.m. and there weren’t many other drivers out on the road in Rutherford. Carmeci, of North Bergen, pulled to the shoulder, donned his safety vest and headed 60 yards or so into the meadows off the highway. There he found a 2001 Mazda MX-5 convertible that rolled off the ramp and landed on its roof. Gerard Losardo, 35, remained held in the Bergen County Jail on Monday, March 13, records show. He was seized at his home without incident on Friday after allegedly brandishing a legally registered .40-caliber handgun that night, Rutherford Deputy Police Chief Sean Farrell said. The 6-foot-6, 330-pound Losardo is charged with aggravated assault, criminal restraint, simple assault, making terroristic threats and a weapons offense.
