Two Hospitalized In Route 17 Crash
Two people were hospitalized after an overnight crash on Route 17 in Hasbrouck Heights. The extent of their injuries couldn't immediately be determined following the collision on the northbound side outside the Shell station at Malcolm Avenue shortly before 3:30 a.m. Saturday. Members of the Moonachie First Aid & Rescue Squad and the Wallington Emergency Squad responded along with Hasbrouck Heights police and firefighters. They took the victims to Hackensack University Medical Center. Both vehicles had to be towed.

Feisty Grandmother, 80, Scuffles With Armed Robber Outside Teterboro Costco
An armed robber in a Costco parking lot got more than he bargained for when an 80-year-old grandmother fought back. The surprised bandit stuck what turned out to be a BB gun in the window of the woman's car in the Teterboro Landing lot across the airport on eastbound Route 46 last Thursday afternoon, Moonachie Police Sgt. Jeff Napolitano said. "NO!" the woman shouted, vowing not to let him take anything without a fight, Napolitano said. Bergen Quartet OK After Sedan Crashes In Front Of Multi-Million-Dollar Home
Four occupants escaped serious injury when their sedan crashed Sunday night in front of a Saddle River home, authorities said. A 17-year-old Saddle River boy was driving a BMW M5 with three passengers when the crash occurred in front of a home on East Saddle River Road just south of East Allendale Road around 8 p.m., according to a police report. Multi-Vehicle Crash Involving Tractor-Trailer Reported On Route 17
A multi-vehicle crash on Route 17 injured at least one driver. The left lane remained open immediately after the crash on the southbound highway at the Essex Street exit in Rochelle Park shortly after 11 a.m. Sunday, March 13. Two cars and a tractor-trailer were involved, witnesses said. The injured driver climbed out before being taken to the hospital, they said.
