Five Jersey City Victims Identified In Deadly Newark Crash: Prosecutor
Five of the victims in a fiery Newark crash that killed six people earlier this month have been identified, authorities said. At 10:47 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6, a vehicle carrying six people was traveling on Raymond Boulevard toward the Route 1&9 southbound on-ramp, Essex County Prosecutor Theodore Stephens II said. The vehicle then veered off the roadway, went airborne, and struck a support column for the Pulaski Skyway, Stephens said. Lamar McKnight, 31, has been identified as the driver. Serious Crash On Pulaski Skyway Crash Jams Traffic
A serious crash on the Pulaski Skyway had traffic backed up Sunday evening, Aug. 13 in Newark. The crash happened on the northbound side of the highway just east of the US 1&9 truck route, around 5:45 p.m. Delays up to 20 minutes were being reported.

Possible Bomb Threat Temporarily Closes Pulaski Skyway In Jersey City
Reports of a suspicious package/possible bomb threat that closed the Pulaski Skyway in Jersey City Saturday was apparently deemed unfounded. The eastbound side was closed as of 5 p.m., with Newark police's helicopter apparently called to the scene. Have photos? Firefighters from New York, Jersey City, Newark and several other towns helped contain a blaze at a Kearny factory that went to four alarms and spewed a noxious plume of smoke across a broad swath of Hudson County. The Pulaski Skyway in Kearny was closed in both directions after a manufacturing plant went up in flames, stranding drivers on the roadway Friday night.
