Police: Victim Of Newark Explosion Had Multiple Propane Tanks In His Minivan A man who was hospitalized in a a large, overnight explosion in Newark had multiple tanks of propane in his car, authorities said. Officers responding to the 200 block of Johnson Avenue, where the man's car was parked, around 12:05 a.m. on Dec. 14 on reports of an explosion, Newark police spokeswoman Catherine Adams said. Once there, authorities found the tanks inside of the man's car, along with damage to nearby vehicles and a church building, Adams said. The victim was transported to University Hospital for treatment. The incident is under investigation. No further information is availa…
