Wayne PD: Officer Nabs Mail Thieves With Hundreds Of Stolen Checks, Credit Cards, More A Wayne police officer nabbed three Paterson men before dawn Tuesday with several hundred pieces of stolen mail – including checks, credit cards and more, authorities said. All belonged to residents of Wayne, Pompton Plains, Fairfield, and Haskell, Detective Capt. Daniel Daly said. The forks fell off a forklift as it was lowering Michael Montero of Elizabeth, who was on-site of the Legacy Castle in Pequannock, the Occupational Safety Health Administration and his family said. Tragic Accident: Car Falls Off Lift, Kills Mechanic, 46, At Lodi Auto Shop A mechanic was killed in a horrific accident Tuesday when a car fell on him at the auto repair shop where he worked. The Chevy was on a lift at John's Service on Westminster Place at Charles Street when it fell onto 46-year-old Jason Menniti of Pompton Plains, authorities said.
