Derek Estrella left Nutley High School at lunch on Friday, Oct. 27 and never returned, police said in a release. Jumper Takes Fatal Leap From High-Rise Across From Njpac A man leapt to his death from the balcony of a building in Newark Tuesday, Sept. 5, officials said. Police responding to the intersection of Center Street and Park Place on a call of a sick or injured person found the unresponsive man around 5:25 p.m., Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. He had jumped from a building’s balcony across from New Jersey Performing Arts Center and pronounced dead at 5:48 p.m.  The incident remains under investigation. No further information is available.

Bodies Found In Jersey City Parking Garage: Preliminary Cause Of Death Revealed Two bodies were found in a Jersey City parking garage early Thursday, Aug. 24. Police believe that the two males found just after 7:40 a.m. at 270 Magnolia Avenue overdosed, according to city spokeswoman Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione. The garage is located behind the Lowe's Jersey City theater in Journal Square. Two pellet guns and drug paraphernalia were found on both victims, who appeared to be in their late 20s or early 30s, Wallace-Scalcione said. However, the investigation remains ongoing and the official cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner's office.
