Two men were recently arrested and charged for assaulting another man with a motorcycle helmet outside a bar in Guttenberg in June, authorities said. On Saturday, June 1 at 1:16 a.m., police responded to a bar at 68th Street and Bergenline Avenue and found a man suffering from multiple head injuries and bleeding profusely, Guttenberg police said in a release. A man shot by police in Newark on Monday evening, Aug. 12 is in critical but stable condition, authorities said. At 8:34 p.m., two Newark police officers spotted a stolen SUV in the area of Clinton Place near Hawthorne Avenue, the state Attorney General's Office said. Person Shot, Suspect Apprehended: Newark PD
A suspect has been apprehended after a man was shot in Newark on the evening of Friday, Aug. 9, authorities said. At 6:32 p.m., police responded to the 200 block of North 9th Street and a found a man who had been shot, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital where he is in stable condition, Fragé said. During their investigation, police located an adult male suspect and recovered a weapon in the area, Fragé said.

Man Stabbed In Hoboken: Authorities
A man was hospitalized after he was stabbed in Hoboken on the early morning of Sunday, Aug. 4, authorities said. At 12:30 a.m., police responded to the 400 block on Harrison Street on a report of a stabbing, a spokeswoman for the city said. Dante Wright, 24, was given several charges including attempted murder, South Brunswick police Chief Raymond Hayducka said in a news release on Sunday, Aug. 4. A 48-year-old Philadelphia man was arrested and charged on Wednesday, July 24 with sexually assaulting a co-worker in Secaucus in May, authorities said. On Friday, May 3, Christopher White sexually assaulted his co-worker in the back of their truck at a business location on Enterprise Avenue, Secaucus police said.
