The Milmay Volunteer Fire Company said it happened while Michael Black was battling a fire at his career firefighting job at the Phillips 66 refinery in Linden. "Mike is okay but has a road of recovery ahead," the fire company posted on Facebook. Car Thieves Climb Fence, Captured After Linden Pursuit: Cops Two suspects were arrested in Linden while fleeing police on foot after crashing a stolen vehicle, authorities said. Marc Pierre, 22, of Maplewood is charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle, eluding, trespassing and resisting arrest.  A 17-year-old male juvenile from Newark also was taken into custody.
