Man Gets Out Of Car, Killed By Tractor-Trailer On NJ Turnpike, State Police Say A Monroe Township man was killed when he got out of his car and was hit by a tractor-trailer on the New Jersey Turnpike, authorities said. Michael Veisz, 40, died in the crash on Interstate 95 North in East Brunswick on Friday, Aug. 23, a state police spokesperson said. Troopers responded to the scene near milepost 81.2 at around 5:02 a.m. Investigators said a Chevrolet Impala driven by Veisz was in a single-car crash on the southbound inner side of the turnpike. At 12:10 a.m. New York State Police responded to I-87 in Orange County for a crash between two trucks, officers said. A Peterbilt tractor trailer traveling southbound sideswiped a Volvo truck which was stopped on the right shoulder, police said. Sussex County Man, 42, Airlifted In Head-On Crash With Tractor-Trailer On Route 206 A 42-year-old Sussex County man was airlifted with serious injuries after crashing head-on into a tractor-trailer on Route 206 Wednesday afternoon, police confirmed. Christopher A. Morales, of Newton, was driving southbound on Route 206 in a 2008 Jeep Patriot when he veered into the northbound lanes and crashed head-on into a 2013 Peterbilt tractor-trailer near the intersection of Brighton Road around 3:50 p.m., Andover Township police said.
