A 73-year-old man died after he was struck by a vehicle in Jersey City on the morning of Monday, March 10, authorities said. At 7:03 a.m., the man was found unresponsive underneath a Ford F250 at Sip and Summit Avenues, Kimberly Wallace-Scalfione, a spokeswoman for the mayor's office said. He was transported to the Jersey City Medical Center with severe head trauma where he was pronounced dead, Wallace-Scalfione said. The man has not been publicly identified. A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle on the evening of Friday, Feb. 21 near the Lincoln Highway Bridge. A 9 p.m., Newark police responded to Raymond Boulevard by ramp/entrance to the bridge, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said. Pedestrian Killed, Pinned Against Guardrail In North Bergen: Police
A pedestrian pinned against a guardrail and "instantly killed" early Monday, Feb. 10 in North Bergen, authorities tell Daily Voice. The crash occurred at 91st Street and Tonnelle Avenue and led to numerous road closures and detours, including at Route 1 and 9, North Bergen police said. Pedestrian Pinned By Car In Morris County Acme Parking Lot: Police
A pedestrian was hospitalized after being run over by a vehicle in the parking lot of a Morris County supermarket Sunday morning, Dec. 1, police said. The vehicle was pulling out of a spot in the Acme parking lot on E. Main Street in Denville, when they drove over the female pedestrian and came to a stop, with the pedestrian underneath the vehicle, Denville Police Capt. Scott Welsch said. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The incident is under investigation.

Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Vehicle In East Orange: Prosecutor
A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle in East Orange on the early morning of Saturday, Nov. 16, authorities said. At 5:30 a.m., the pedestrian was hit by a 2024 Honda Accord at 33 Ampere Pl., the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said, though they did not say when or where they died. The identity of the pedestrian has not been revealed. The investigation is ongoing.

Pedestrian Struck, Seriously Injured On Garden State Parkway
A pedestrian was hospitalized with serious injuries after being struck by a camper on the Garden State Parkway, authorities said. The Ford E350 Camper was heading south when it struck the unidentified pedestrian walking in the roadway at milepost 145.2 in Irvington around 8:05 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Charles Marchan said. The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was taken to an area hospital. The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information is available.

Pedestrian Survives Train Strike In Hudson County: NJ Transit
A pedestrian was truck by a train in Harrison on the early morning of Sunday, Aug. 18, authorities said. At 12:50 a.m., Morris and Essex train 6907 struck the pedestrian just east of Broad Street Station, NJ Transit said. The train had departed New York Penn Station at 12:34 a.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Dover at 2:13 a.m., NJ Transit said. A 42-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in Monroe Township, authorities said. The driver was eastbound on Buckelew Avenue near Grace Hill Road at about 12:05 a.m. Wednesday, June 12 when he struck the man walking in the roadway, Monroe police said. A pedestrian was struck by a car in Sussex County Monday afternoon, state police said. A 25-year-old was hit by a Hyundai Kona on Route 206 S. at the entrance to the shopping center in front of the McDonald’s in Hampton Township just before 1 p.m., NJSP Sgt. A pedestrian was struck and killed in an early-morning crash Tuesday in Cranford, authorities said. The pedestrian was crossing Springfield Avenue when they were struck by a 51-year-old Kenilworth man heading south and approaching Orange Avenue, in a 2006 Hyundai Sonata, local police said. A pedestrian was hospitalized with what responders said they believed were life-threatening injuries after she was struck by a car Thursday night in Totowa while a police officer was investigating a nearby crash that occurred moments earlier.
