Shooting Death Of Newark Man Rattles Community
Tributes came pouring in following the shooting death of a 45-year-old Newark man over the weekend. Keni Johnson was gunned down on the 100 block of North Munn Avenue around 8:55 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens II said. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:13 a.m. A balloon release in Johnson's honor was held that night at Bradley Courts. How Newark Police Arrested 3 Suspects Using Control Tactics
Police in Newark used arrest and control tactics to safely apprehend three armed suspects in two recent incidents, authorities said. Newark residents Kaseem Callender, 25, and Keon Orr, 22, were arrested in connection with an armed robbery near the North Munn Avenue entrance of the Bradley Court apartment complex just after 8 a.m. on Sept. 7, Newark Public Safety Director Brian A. Police in Newark are seeking the public's help in identifying a man they say stole a TV from a local home over the weekend. A resident on the 100 block of North Munn Avenue told police her TV was by the front door and the suspect, who was captured on surveillance video, was walking in front of her home around 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Newark Public Safety Director Brian A.
