Crash At Busy Paramus Intersection Sends SUV Driver To Hospital A driver was hospitalized following an afternoon crash at a busy Paramus intersection. The unidentified driver's Nissan Murano slammed into a Honda Accord at the corner of Paramus Road and West Ridgewood Avenue around 2:15 p.m. Friday. Paramus firefighters and EMS workers extricated the man, who was taken by the EMS unit to The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. His condition couldn't immediately be determined. A passing Valley Hospital EMS unit also stopped to assist, responders said.

Police ID Woman, 29, Killed In Maplewood Hit-Run Authorities have identified the victim of an early-morning Maplewood hit-and-run as a 29-year-old Irvington woman. Johanne L. Barthelemy was struck outside of her Nissan Murano near 1016 Chancellor Avenue around 2:50 Monday morning, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, and Maplewood Police Chief Jimmy Devaul said. Barthelemy was pronounced dead at the scene. No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.
