Overhead Wire Issues Suspend NJ Transit Commuter Trains An overhead wire issue suspended NJ Transit's rail service along the Morris & Essex Line Monday morning, Dec. 4 Service was suspended in both directions between Chatham and Mount Tabor due to an issue near Mount Tabor, NJ Transit said.  M&E and Gladstone Line trains were being diverted into Hoboken.  The issue caused a disruption to hundreds of commuters, according to some who took to X for guidance. Man, 64, Dies In Parsippany Garden Apartment Fire A 64-year-old resident was killed in a fire in a Parsippany garden apartment Sunday afternoon, responders said.  His name was being withheld pending notification of next of kin. A firefighter refused medical attention for a cut sustained battling the first-floor Rutgers Lane blaze, which broke out in the Rutgers Village Apartment Complex just after 12:30 p.m. and severely damaged two units, they said.
