A 25-year-old pickup truck driver from Passaic was captured on camera erratically leaving the scene of a crash in Hudson County where authorities said he struck two pedestrians and a vehicle, leaving three victims seriously injured. Luis Tubac-Socoy was behind the wheel of a Ford F350 when he struck a Honda CRV around 9:50 p.m. along Port Imperial Boulevard Friday, July 5, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Pedestrian, 35, Critical After Being Struck By Car In Linden
A pedestrian was critically hurt in a crash in Linden, authorities said. At 5:22 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2, Linden police responded to 2040 E. St. Georges Ave. on reports of a serious motor vehicle collision. A preliminary investigation determined that a 35-year-old man from Roselle was walking in the roadway when he was struck by a 2017 Mazda CX5 that was traveling east on E. St. Georges Ave. The man was transported to University Hospital where he remained in critical condition, police said. A 78-year-old motorist from Englewood was killed when his pickup truck collided with an oncoming backhoe that had swerved into his path in Paramus, authorities confirmed. The victim was headed north on Forest Avenue in a 2020 Ford Ranger when the crash occurred near Filippe Court around 5 a.m. Saturday, Police Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg said. A 42-year-old man was charged in a hit-and-run crash that injured a 50-year-old pedestrian last summer in Hudson County, authorities said. Thomas Adedeji, of Orange, was heading north on Bergenline Avenue near the 74th Street intersection in a silver Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck when he struck the Fairview resident while crossing the street in North Bergen around 2:15 a.m. on July 3, 2021, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. A 78-year-old Jersey City man was charged in a March hit-and-run crash that killed a 62-year-old man, authorities said Tuesday. Beato Sepulveda struck Armando Campos-Perez at Palisade Avenue between Jefferson Avenue and Waverly Street, around 1:30 a.m. on March 18 -- then fled, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.
