Dump Truck Driver 'Shaken Up' After Crash With Commuter Train In Morris County
Delays along NJ Transit's Morris & Essex Line were being reported due to a dump truck that struck a train Wednesday afternoon, July 31. Woman Struck By NJ Transit Train Suffers Severe Leg Injury: Officials
A woman was hospitalized with a severe leg injury after being struck by a train in Morristown on Saturday, May 4, NJ Transit officials said. The woman was on the Morristown platform with the injury when responders arrived at the scene, just before 7:25 p.m., a spokesperson for NJ Transit said. The woman was taken to the hospital by EMS. An overhead wire issue suspended NJ Transit's rail service along the Morris & Essex Line Monday morning, Dec. 4 Service was suspended in both directions between Chatham and Mount Tabor due to an issue near Mount Tabor, NJ Transit said. Officials have identified the victim of a fatal NJ Transit train strike as a 21-year-old man. Zain Bhatti, of Flanders, was struck by Morris & Essex Line train 6635 just after 3:30 p.m., just west of the Madison station (Morris County) on Tuesday, Nov. 7, NJ Transit officials said. The train had departed Penn Station New York at 2:32 p.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Dover at 4:05 p.m. There were no injuries to the 60 customers or the crew on board. Man Fatally Struck By NJ Transit Train In North Jersey
A man was fatally struck by an NJ Transit train Tuesday, Nov. 7. The Morris & Essex Line train struck the man just west of the Madison station around 3:30 p.m., an NJ Transit official said. None of the 60 passengers on the train were hurt. The train had left Penn Station and was scheduled to arrive in Dover at 4:05 p.m. Rail service was experiencing an hour delay in both directions at 5:50 p.m., NJ Transit officials said.

Man, 29, Killed By NJ Transit Train
A 29-year-old Union County man was struck and killed by an NJ Transit train earlier this week in Essex County, officials said. Evan Krupp was struck by the Morris & Essex Line train near the Summit station around 1:20 p.m. Monday, July 24, NJ Transit spokesman Kyalo Mulumba said. The train had left Hackettstown just before noon and was set to arrive in Hoboken at 2 p.m., Mulumba said. No injuries were reported to the 45 passengers. The crash suspended service for several hours.

A pedestrian was struck and injured by a train Thursday afternoon in Summit, officials said. The pedestrian was struck by NJ Transit's Morris & Essex line train 6625 near the Summit Station around 12:45 p.m., NJT spokesman Everett Merrill said. Girl Struck, Killed By NJ Transit Train
A girl was struck and killed by an NJ Transit train Tuesday in North Jersey. The Morris & Essex line train was heading to Dover in Morris County from New York Penn Station when it struck the girl at 12:15 p.m. in Maplewood, NJ Transit officials said. The incident occurred just west of the station. Morris and Essex Line rail service was temporarily suspended due to this incident. New Jersey Transit Police are on scene leading the investigation. Sources with direct knowledge of the incident told Daily Voice the girl was 14 years old.

Authorities have identified the woman struck and killed by a train early Monday in Morris County. Jane B. Authorities have identified the individual struck and killed by a train in Morris County earlier this week as a Union County woman. Eileen Cunningham, 64, of New Providence, was struck by a Morris & Essex line train at the Madison Station Monday afternoon, NJT spokesman Jim Smith said. East Orange Man Fatally Struck By NJ Transit Train ID'd
An East Orange man was fatally struck by a New Jersey Transit train late Sunday night, NJ Transit officials said. Gregory Brantley, 31, was hit by a Morris & Essex line train just east or the Highland Avenue station in Orange around 11 p.m., according to a New Jersey Transit spokesperson. The New York Penn Station-bound train had left from Dover at 10:05 p.m., and was carrying 28 passengers and crew members. Service was suspended for about 45 minutes.

Man Killed By Train In Morristown
A man was fatally struck by a train in Morristown early Friday morning, officials said. Twenty people were on train 6601 of the Morris-Essex line when the man was struck at Convent Station around 2:15 a.m., an NJ Transit spokesperson told Daily Voice. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The train was the last of the night from Penn Station to Dover. Service to the morning trains will not be affected.
