Arson: Morris County Woman Started Fire That Killed Cat For Insurance Claim, Prosecutor Says
A 46-year-old Morris County woman was accused of starting a fire that destroyed a home and killed a cat for insurance purposes, authorities announced Tuesday.
Pamela Hankin, of Boonton, was charged with aggravated arson, insurance fraud, endangerment, and animal cruelty, Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll said in a joint release with Chief of Detectives Christoph K. Kimker, Morris County Sheriff James Gannon, and Pequannock Township Police Chief Daniel Comune.

Newark Man, 18, Stole 9 Cars From North Jersey Dealership: Prosecutor
A Newark man was slapped with a slew of theft and burglary charges after stealing a total of nine cars from a Morris County auto dealership, authorities said.
Ahjhir Jones, 18, is accused of stealing the vehicles from GT Motors in Morristown August 6, 2021, Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll said Monday.
He was identified via surveillance footage and fingerprinting, Carroll said.
Jones was taken into custody Jan. 19 and charged with conspiracy to commit theft, theft by unlawful taking, conspiracy to commit burglary, burglary, criminal mischief and unlawful means of conveyance.

Two Morris County men were arrested after they were found with Fentanyl, $10,000 in cash and a handgun loaded with hollow-point bullets, authorities said.

Four people have been charged in a scheme involving the alleged distribution of cocaine to Morris County residents through the US Postal Service, authorities said.
