Blood-Covered Man Spotted In Public Had Killed His NJ Grandmother, Prosecutor Says
A Carteret man has been charged in connection with the death of his 77-year-old grandmother after someone spotted him out in public, covered in blood, authorities said.
On Monday, May 1, at 5:29 p.m., authorities received a 911 call reporting that an individual was seen near Taylor Avenue, who appeared to be covered in blood, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone.
Carteret Police Department responded and found Cyril Lloyd, 26, of Carteret. Lloyd was transported back to his home, Ciccone said.

A 43-year-old woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Middlesex County over the weekend, authorities said.
Kerri Lynn Shea, of East Windsor, was struck at the intersection of Route 130 and Route 32 in South Brunswick, just before 10 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and South Brunswick Police Chief Raymond Hayducka said.
The other driver fled on foot and Shea was pronounced dead, authorities said.

A 36-year-old man from Middletown was struck by a car multiple times and killed after an argument in a parking lot, authorities said.
Jason Freeman was killed in the incident at 5:05 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 29, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Acting Chief Donald Fritz, Jr., of the Old Bridge Police Department.
