One Dead, Three Wounded In Pair Of Paterson Shootings
One man was killed and another wounded in a shooting at a bridge over the Passaic River, authorities confirmed.
Responding officers found both city residents show in the neck and legs near the North Bridge Street bridge shortly before midnight Wednesday, March 13, they said.
Both were taken to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, where one of them, 43, was pronounced dead, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Isa Abbassi said.
The second victim, 38, remained in stable condition at the hospital on Wednesday, they said.

Paterson Detectives Seize 2,162 Heroin Folds, Coke, Xanax, Loaded Gun From Accused Dealer, 23
Paterson police detectives nabbed a 23-year-old drug dealer with 2,162 heroin folds, cocaine, Xanax, Percocet and a loaded handgun, authorities said.
Detectives also seized more than $1,100 in drug cash when they raided the second-floor Madison Avenue apartment of Justin Velez off Market Street around 6:30 p.m. Thursday, city Public Safety Director Jerry Speziale said.
Velez was carrying 100 heroin folds when they arrested him moments earlier, Speziale said.
In his apartment, the director said, police found a .380-caliber Keltec handgun loaded with hollow- and ball-point rounds.

Go-Go Bar Owner, Dancers, Bartending Wife Busted In Paterson Prostitution Raid
Undercover vice squad detectives who raided a Paterson go-go bar found a dancer giving a patron oral sex in a lap dance booth, authorities said.
They arrested the owner, 62-year-old Thomas P. Humphrey of Riverdale, and his wife, Luciana, 45, along with four dancers, two bartenders and a security guard in the raid at Baby Dolls on Market Street, Police Director Jerry Speziale said Wednesday.
They also captured a fugitive wanted out of New York City and seized $6,679 in cash from the thriving business, Speziale said.
