New Film Studio Approved For This North Jersey Town West Orange is going to back to its movie-making roots. Last December, the township approved a redevelopment agreement to develop a film studio at the site credited with the birthplace film industry.  The studio will be build on 12.2 acres adjacent to Thomas Edison National Historical Park and behind the Edison Lofts on Main Street, the site of the original film production studio, Black Maria, from the late 1880s. NJ Duo Charged With Beating Gas Station Attendants In Armed Tri-County Robbery Spree Two men wanted for beating attendants during a two-day spree of quick-stop armed gas station robberies in three New Jersey counties were captured by federal agents, authorities said. Ex-con Ahmad Singletary, 24, and Joseph Young, 26, both of Newark, committed three of the robberies last Sept. 5, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger said. Four more holdups -- also in a single day -- followed exactly a week later, the U.S. attorney said. Man Climbs Over Counter In Essex County Subway Restaurant Robbery: Police A West Orange man has been charged with robbing a Subway restaurant earlier this month. Robert Klosky went into the Main Street sandwich shop around 9:25 a.m. on Nov. 17, demanding the worker open the register, as he climbed over the counter and removed cash, police said. The victim believed that Klosky was armed, police said. Detective Rakem Bell conducted an extensive investigation and charged Klosky, of West Orange, with second-degree robbery on Tuesday, Nov. 29. Klosky provided a full confession of the robbery during an interview, authorities said. He was remanded to the Essex County …
