A New Jersey elected official has been charged with larceny and forgery in Connecticut, police said. Abby Lundy, age 60, a Hillsdale councilwoman whose term is up on Dec. 31, 2024, was arrested in New Canaan on Thursday, Aug. 22, for crimes allegedly committed on Tuesday, July 9, court records show. Since-deleted social media posts show Lundy had worked for First Candle, an organization dedicated to eradicating Sudden Infant Death Syndrom (SIDS) and other "sleep-related infant deaths." Victim Who Withdrew $10K From VA Bank Was Followed By Trio Who Stole It, Police Say
Warrants have been issued for a pair from New Jersey and New York who police said targeted a victim who withdrew a large amount of cash at a Virginia bank. Pedro Bernal Montoya, 43, of New Jersey, and Antonio Ramos Acevedo, 33, of New York, watched as the victim took out $10,000 from a Springfield, VA bank on March 21, at 3:13 p.m., Fairfax County police said. Cops Dismantle $27K Fairfax County Theft Ring Run By Out-Of-State Crew, Authorities Say
Three people have been arrested in a four-month stealing spree at a Fairfax County mall — none of whom area from the area, police said. Oscar William Laverde Laverde, 56, of New York, and Sindia Noguera, 43, of New Jersey, are both in custody, while Claudia Suarez, 45, of New York, remains at large, county police said. Fugitive Arrested In Secaucus: Police
A 45-year-old Brooklyn resident was arrested on Friday, Sept. 15 in Secaucus after it was discovered there were multiple warrants out for his arrest, authorities said. At 5:25 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Kevin Dadaille was discovered to have a outstanding warrants out of Middlesex County, Pohatcong and in Connecticut, Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said. Dadaille had been been charged with two counts of larceny in Enfield, Conn. in May. : East Brunswick Woman Used Counterfeit Cash At CT Walgreens, Police Say
A Central Jersey woman was arrested for using counterfeit cash at a Walgreens store in Connecticut, police said. Khadijah Latifah Tabitha Greene, 29, of East Brunswick, apparently used the money at the New Canaan sore last March, Lt. Marc DeFelice said. Greene was taken into custody on Thursday, Dec. 15 by New Canaan Police and charged with larceny and forgery, DeFelice said. She was processed and released on a $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, Dec. 29.

A 38-year-old North Jersey man who modified his truck to hold a significant amount of fuel was arrested for using a New York State Fleet Fuel Card to make bogus gas purchases, authorities said. Angel Alvarez-Michel, of Belleville, became the subject of an investigation on Sunday, April 24, after using the card to buy gas at Rockland County gas stations, New York State Police said. Authorities in Newark are seeking the public's help identifying two men they say stole merchandise and more than $1,000 in cash from a deli in Newark. Two men, pictured above, exited a white pickup truck and broke into Krauszer's Food Store & Deli (226 Halsey St.) around 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose said in a release.
