Crash On Garden State Parkway Closes Lanes In Union County: Njdot Lanes are closed on the Garden State Parkway following a crash in Union County on the afternoon of Wednesday, Aug. 14, the New Jersey Department of Transportation said. The crash occurred south of Exit 138 in Kenilworth on the Garden State Parkway southbound, the NJDOT said. Two left lanes are blocked, the NJDOT said.

Crashed, Burning Motorcycle Found On Garden State Parkway, Police Search For Rider WITNESSES SOUGHT: Authorities turned to the public for help finding the rider of a crashed, burning motorcycle that was found in the left lane of the southbound Garden State Parkway in Paramus early Monday night. The crash occurred around 5:30 p.m. near mile marker 162.4, New Jersey State Police Sgt. First Class Lawrence Peele said Tuesday. Officers responding to the call found the motorcycle in flames, skid marks on the roadway and no rider. NJ Forest Fire: State Responder Critically Injured, Homes, Businesses Damaged, GSP Closed UPDATE (w/VIDEO): A firefighter with the New Jersey Forest Fighter Service was critically injured while responding to what became a destructive forest fire on Sunday, authorities said. The wildfire jumped the entire width of the Garden State Parkway from Lakewood into Brick Township, damaged homes, office buildings and commercial businesses on and around Route 70 and forced the evacuations of a hotel, businesses and an entire neighborhood.
