Plainfield Man Arrested In Fatal Shooting Of Star Football Player: Prosecutors Maurice Pierce, 23-year-old Plainfield man was arrested on Monday, Sept. 25 and charged with murder in the shooting death of Jameer Outsey, a former college football player, back in August, authorities said. On Sunday, Aug. 12, Elizabeth police responded to North Broad Street and Magnolia Avenue and found Outsey, a Bridgewater resident, suffering from a gunshot wound, Union County Prosecutor William A. NJ Star Football Player Jameer Outsey Shot Dead A former New Jersey football star was shot dead over the weekend, authorities announced. Jameer Outsey, a three-year letterman at Franklin Township High School (Class of 2014), was fatally shot in Elizabeth on Saturday, Aug. 12, prosecutors said. The 27-year-old former athlete was hospitalized after being shot at North Broad Street and Magnolia Avenue, and subsequently pronounced dead, the Union County Prosecutor's Office said.
