Thief Who Stole $1.5M Worth Of Luxury Cars In NJ, Rockland, Long Island, CT Gets 3Ā½ Years
šØš£ššš§š: The last of four men who admitted stealing more than $1.5 million worth of luxury cars in New Jersey, Rockland County, Long Island and Connecticut was sentenced to nearly 3Ā½ years in federal prison.
Malik Baker, 30, of Vauxhall, and his three co-conspirators stashed at least 10 of the vehicles at a central location in Irvington, NJ, U.S. Attorney for New Jersey Philip Sellinger said.
The Essex County-based quartet often used one stolen vehicle to swipe another, he added.

It was a busy February for the Newark police.
Ten people were arrested on outstanding warrants in the city, ranging from aggravated assault to being in possession of a handgun, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. FragƩ said.
Brenda Velasquez, a 46-year-old Kearney resident, was arrested on Wednesday, Feb. 7 after a warrant was issued for her arrest on charges of aggravated assault and weapon possession following an altercation with a woman in January, FragƩ said.

Gotcha! NJ Duo Charged With Beating Gas Station Attendants In Armed Tri-County Robbery Spree
Two men wanted for beating attendants during a two-day spree of quick-stop armed gas station robberies in three New Jersey counties were captured by federal agents, authorities said.
Ex-con Ahmad Singletary, 24, and Joseph Young, 26, both of Newark, committed three of the robberies last Sept. 5, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger said.
Four more holdups -- also in a single day -- followed exactly a week later, the U.S. attorney said.
Singletary "threatened, assaulted, and struck victims in the head" with a Ruger 9 mm P95 handgun, injuring all of them, a complaint filed by the ATF says.
