The crash occurred at about 9:50 a.m. on I-295 northbound near Exit 65 (Sloan Avenue) in Hamilton Township, according to the NJDOT and New Jersey State Police. Based on a preliminary investigation, a collision occurred between four passenger vehicles, said Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron, a NJSP spokesman. Police ID College Student Killed In I-295 Crash Authorities have identified the 20-year-old driver killed in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 295 in Mercer County. Samuel Beale, of the Kenvil section of Roxbury, was driving a Nissan SUV northbound near milepost 60.6 in Hamilton shortly before 8 p.m. Sunday, April 14, when he veered off the highway to the left and struck a concrete bridge support and guardrail, New Jersey State Police said. Beale was pronounced dead at the scene, State Police said. Beale was a sophomore economics major at Rider University in Lawrenceville, according to his LinkedIn.com profile.

The man was driving a Nissan SUV north at milepost 60.6 in Hamilton at about 7:50 p.m. Sunday, April 14, when he veered off the highway to the left and collided with a concrete bridge support and guardrail, according to New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron. The driver, from the Kenvil section of Roxbury, died at the scene. His identity will be released pending notification of next of kin, Lebron said. The investigation is active, police said.
