Ice cream lovers in Hoboken can breathe a sigh of relief. The Ben & Jerry's at 405 Washington St. reopened on Wednesday, Jan. 22 following a brief closure for renovations that left those with a sweet tooth (even in the bitter cold) filled with anxiety when they walked by and saw the store closed and papered over. Unilever has announced that 149 positions at its New Jersey offices will be eliminated over the next 13 months as part of the company’s global productivity program. Impacted employees will have the opportunity to apply for open positions within the company, receive severance pay, and access outplacement services and development training, according to a statement from Unilever.
