Man Killed In Shooting At NJ Transit Station, Prosecutors Say
A man was shot and killed at the New Jersey Transit station in Long Branch, authorities said. Long Branch police responded to the train station's platform at around 7:39 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 26, a Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office spokesperson said. Officers found the unidentified man and he was rushed to a nearby hospital. He was pronounced dead at 8:34 p.m. Investigators haven't said what led up to the shooting. UPDATE: A man who was shot and killed in Jersey City by members of a specialized law enforcement team that hunts fugitives was wanted for shooting and killing his 67-year-old next-door neighbor and wounding her husband a day earlier in Florida, authorities said. Two men killed during Sunday's mass shooting in New Brunswick have been identified, authorities said. Lionel Macauley, 28, of Somerset, and Anthony Robinson 23, of New Brunswick, died of injuries they sustained in the early morning shooting, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and New Brunswick Police Director Anthony A.
