The Phillipsburg community is fighting for the family of a local boy who has been violently ill since February.
More than $4,800 had been raised on a GoFundMe as of Monday for the Turdo family.
Andrew Turdo, 10, has been hospitalized six times since February with cyclic vomiting syndrome, prompting his mother, Maryanne Turdo, to quit her job, according to the online campaign.
His father, Scott Turdo, is nearly out of time from his job with the corrections department.

'Caring, Selfless' Union Native, Nurse Racquel Ferna M. Mateo Dies, 48
Racquel Ferna M. Mateo of Clifton died on July 28. She was 48 years old.
Born in the Philippines, Racquel came to the U.S. in 1994, her obituary says. She settled in Union before moving to Clifton.
Racquel was a registered nurse who worked as a nurse manager at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center for more than 20 years.
Her brother Sherlock M. Mateo remembered her on Facebook as being "the most caring, humble, selfless, genuine" person.
She is predeceased by her father, Rodolfo D. Mateo.
