A 27-year-old Newark man was arrested on Friday, April 26 for flashing his genitals to passing vehicles in Hackettstown, authorities said.
On Tuesday, March 5 at 10:37 a.m., Jared Aponte flashed his genitals to vehicles at Valentine Street and Jefferson Street, Hackettstown police said.
On Saturday, April 20, at 12:35 p.m., police responded to Hackettstown High School after a woman said Aponte made a sexual comment to her while she was sitting in her car in the junior parking lot, police said. The woman began to yell and scream and fled the area, police said.

Police have issued an alert for a Hackettstown teen who has been missing for five days and may be on his way to Florida.
Mauricio Tiul-Morales, 16, was last seen at his home on Mountain Avenue on Wednesday, Sept. 13, Hackettstown Police said in a Monday release.
Tiul-Morales stands 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighs between 140 and 150 pounds, and has brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing an orange shirt, blue jeans, black sneakers, a black hat, and has an earring in the shape of a cross in his right ear.

'Just Take Me To Jail,' Man With Meth Tells North Jersey Cops
A Hackettstown man was arrested after he was allegedly found with a meth pipe sitting on an unmarked police car asking officers to take him to jail.
Officers found Cody Zeigler, 27, sitting on the hood of an unmarked vehicle at the Hackettstown Police Department around 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 6, they said.
Zeigler remarked, “just take me to jail,” before pointing to a pipe with suspected meth residue that he put on the vehicle’s hood, according to police.
He was then arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and disorderly conduct.

Authorities in Hackettstown are seeking the public’s help locating a man wanted for stalking, terroristic threats, and other serious charges.
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Anthony R. Hope, 32, with charges for stalking, cyber harassment, and terroristic threats, Hackettstown Police said in a release on Thursday, June 23.
Hope’s last known address was 30 Worlds Fair Dr. in Franklin Township, Somerset County, police said.

Police have issued an alert for a North Jersey teen they say has been missing for more than three weeks.
Alejandro Tiul Choc, 16, was last seen at his home on Main Street in Hackettstown on Monday, Feb. 21, local police said in a Wednesday, March 16 release.
Choc is described as a Hispanic male standing five feet tall and weighing about 130 pounds, police said.
He was last seen wearing a black button-down shirt, black jacket, blue jeans, green sneakers, pink and white ankle bracelet, green and white wrist bracelet, and a black backpack.

A Sussex County woman wanted for heroin distribution in Hackettstown was arrested in Newark, police confirmed.
Hackettstown Police issued a warrant for Chelsea M. Pruden, 28, with charges for heroin distribution on Nov. 19, authorities said.
Pruden, of Andover, was arrested in Newark by the Essex County Sheriff’s Office on Monday, police said.
She was charged with two counts each of distribution of heroin, possession with intent to distribute heroin, second-degree distribution of heroin within 500 feet of a public park and distribution of heroin within 1,000 feet of school property.

A raid of a Hackettstown home turned up more than 1,600 bags of heroin and cocaine, resulting in charges for five residents and both homeowners.
A March 4 search of 14 Laurie Terrace turned up 1,613 wax folds of suspected heroin and 47 small bags of suspected cocaine, Hackettstown police said.
