Exterior Fire Enters Hasbrouck Heights Home
Firefighters quickly doused a blaze that found its way inside a Hasbrouck Heights home. Flames climbed the side and extended into the basement and attic of the three-story wood-frame home on Franklin Avenue between Oak Grove Avenue and Boulevard at 9:15 p.m. Saturday, April 27, responders said. No injuries were reported in the two-alarm blaze. The Red Cross found temporary food, clothing shelter for the occupants. Hasbrouck Heights PD: Driver In DWI Crash Had Kids With Him
A drunk driver had two children with him when he crashed into a parked car overnight on a Hasbrouck Heights street, authorities said. Corey Curry, 34, of Paterson was behind the wheel of a 2012 Infiniti that struck a parked car on Franklin Avenue shortly before 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 10, Hasbrouck Heights Lt. John Behr said. A Hasbrouck Heights police officer revived an 80-year-old man who authorities said was trying to kill himself. Officer Michael Renna found the man unconscious in his vehicle on a quiet stretch of Franklin Avenue between Oak Grove Avenue and Boulevard shortly before 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25, according to a police report.
