Ford is recalling hundreds of thousands of SUVs that could potentially have a faulty fuel injector that could lead to fuel spills or potentially leak vapors onto hot engines, posing a fire hazard. A Geo Prism landed on its roof after it was struck by an SUV whose driver ran a stop sign in Lyndhurst early Monday afternoon, authorities said. The Ford Escape was headed west on Second Avenue when it blew past the stop sign and slammed into the Prism, which was headed south on Stuyvesant Avenue, Detective Sgt. Vincent Auteri said. Woman Hit While Crossing Linden Street In Serious Condition
A 29-year-old woman suffered serious injuries Wednesday night when she was struck by a vehicle, Lt. Christopher Guenther of the Linden Police Department said in a statement. The woman was crossing East Elizabeth Avenue at McCandless Street around 10 p.m. when she was hit by a Ford Escape heading east on East Elizabeth, Geunther said.
