: Knife-Wielding Gang Of Bergen Convenience Store Robbers Strikes Again
A group of knife-wielding thugs who’ve been robbing convenience stores in Bergen County apparently struck again, authorities said. The clerk at the Route 46 7-Eleven clerk in Elmwood Park told police the gang of four robbed the store of $400, 19 packs of Newports and rolling papers shortly after midnight Friday. The clerk said he was on the phone when one of them, brandishing a knife, walked around the counter and demanded he open the register. Pedestrian Struck Outside Fort Lee Shopping Plaza
A pedestrian was struck by a car outside a Fort Lee shopping plaza Tuesday night, authorities said. The Palisades Park driver of a 2009 Lexus ES was making a turn out of the Linwood Plaza on Fletcher Avenue when his car hit the 39-year-old Hicksville, Long Island man in the crosswalk, Capt. Ricky Mirkovic said. The victim was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center after complaining of neck and other pain, he said. UPDATE: A police pursuit sparked by a bank fraud in New Milford ended in Fort Lee late Tuesday afternoon with two women and a man from New York in custody and a police officer with an injury. Bicyclist Hit In Fort Lee By Paterson Adult Daycare Van
A bicyclist was hospitalized after being struck by an adult daycare center van in Fort Lee, authorities said. The 36-year-old Bronx man was struck at the intersection of Main Street and Fletcher Avenue around 9:45 a.m. Wednesday by a 2019 Ford Transit driven by a 58-year-old Ridgefield man, they said.
