Mercedes Benz Thieves Lead Turnpike Pursuit Through Bergen County, Ditch Stolen Car In Newark Two suspects remain at large after leading cops on a vehicle pursuit through Northern New Jersey on the late afternoon of Thursday, Feb. 8, authorities said. At 5:49 p.m., state troopers observed a blue Mercedes Benz reported stolen out of Montclair traveling north on the New Jersey Turnpike near Ridgefield, state police said. Troopers attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop but the driver refused and continued onto Route 46 West, state police said.
