FedEx Driver Points Police To Bronx Thief On Quiet Waldwick Street: Authorities
An alert FedEx driver pointed police in Waldwick to a Bronx man waiting on a quiet dead-end street for packages that he fraudulently had delivered there, authorities said.
Officers Chris Sanchez, Dillon Sherman and Jake Wanamaker responded to her call and found the dark-colored sedan with Florida plates on Lee Court, just off Wyckoff Avenue, around 2 p.m. Friday, May 10, Lt. Troy E. Seifert said.
They arrested the driver, Juan Soriano, 34, after Detective TJ Palaia discovered that he'd gone there to collect fraudulently ordered packages, the lieutenant said.

Fire Destroys Food Pantry In Central Jersey
Fire destroyed a food and clothing pantry in Middlesex County, authorities said.
The fire broke out in a building leased by Fish Inc. on the 400 block of New Market Road at about 7:15 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, according to Piscataway Mayor Brian Wahler, who was at the scene.
"The building's a goner," Wahler said of the century-old structure owned by First Baptist Church.
Fish Inc., an all-volunteer non-profit, has more than 2,000 clients, with 60 families a week relying on the pantry for food and clothing, Wahler said.

Keith Johnson, 38, Father Of Six 'Adored All His Children' In Central Jersey
Keith Johnson, a father of six from Dunellen, died on Friday, Jan. 19, according to an obituary published by Sheehan Funeral Home. He was 38 years old.
Keith grew up in Dunellen graduating from Dunellen High School, his obituary said. He was a foreman with Atlas Demolition.
"At a young age, he became a father and this has been his greatest role. Keith loved being a Dad!" his obit said. "He adored all of his children."

Six pizzerias, most in the central part of the Garden State, have been crowned by the Washington Post as having the best New York-style pizza.

3 Charged With Attempted Murder In Union County Shooting
Three men have been charged with attempted murder in an April 2021 shooting in which they fired 35 rounds at their target while in a stolen car in Union County, authorities said.
Raheim Morgan, 19 of Dunellen, Ja’Son Spann, 19 of Plainfield and Demetrius Stephens 19 of Piscataway, were driving on Liberty and West 4th streets in Plainfield, on April 26 around 1:30 p.m., when they opened fire, Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel said.

Pipe repairs to a water main leak put a boil water advisory in effect for nine towns across three New Jersey counties.
New Jersey American Water said it will be distributing free bottled water for residents in Clark, Dunellen, Edison (northern sections), Green Brook, Linden, Middlesex, Piscataway, Roselle and South Plainfield.

Authorities: Plainfield Mom Left Teen Alone With Drugs; $20K, Cocaine Seized
A Plainfield mom left her daughter home alone with drugs, said authorities who arrested her along with another man and seized $20,000 in cash and cocaine.
Jerry Ross, 42, of Dunellen, and Nicole Moody, 35, of Plainfield, were both charged with possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute and two other drug-related offenses, the Union County Prosecutor's Office said.
Moody is also charged with endangering the welfare of a child for leaving her teenage daughter alone in a home with the drugs, authorities said.
