South Jersey Fugitive Busted With Heroin/Meth: Stafford Police
A 37-year-old man wanted on a warrant was arrested on the Jersey Shore on multiple drug charges involving methamphetamine and heroin, authorities said. On Sunday at approximately 5 p.m., Stafford police received a call in reference to suspicious activity at 1236 Grays Road in the Warren Grove section of Stafford Township. Police found John B. Sharpe, 37, of Galloway, who was wanted on a warrant from that township, Stafford police said. It was not clear what he was wanted for. Ex-Long Branch Police Officer Admits Having Basement Meth Lab: Prosecutor
A former Long Branch police officer admitted making methamphetamine at his home, authorities said. Christopher Walls, 40, was arrested in May during a domestic dispute, according to Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Lori Linskey announced. He pleaded guilty on Tuesday before Monmouth County Superior Court Judge Jill G. O’Malley to charges of causing a risk of widespread injury and manufacturing a controlled dangerous substance, Linskey said. A 19-year veteran police officer with the Long Branch Police Department has been suspended without pay after being arrested for operating a methamphetamine lab at his home, authorities said. A Sussex County man who police say had more than 10 pounds of narcotics in a drug manufacturing and distribution ring was arrested and jailed. Lukas Budzel, 23, was found with more than 10 pounds of controlled dangerous substances “related to the production, manufacturing, and distribution of narcotics,” as well as about $16,000 in cash following a search of his mother’s Franklin Borough home on Scott Road around 6 a.m. on Jan. 28, police said.
