Elizabeth Routes 1&9 Crash A tractor trailer crash shut Routes 1&9 in Elizabeth early Thursday, May 16. The crash happened just before 6 a.m. at Maple Avenue, taking down an electrical pole that had a transformer, city officials and the DOT site shows. Police are requesting motorists and pedestrians avoid the area.
