Lawsuit Filed Over Disabled Student's Dismissal From Hillsborough Prom: Report
A lawsuit has been filed on behalf of a student with Down syndrome who was ordered to leave the Hillsborough High School prom before it ended, mycentraljersey.com reported. Lily Doyle was among 11 students asked to leave the prom, which was held in May. Most of the other students are also special needs. Richard Highsmith says he developed too much anxiety to work in the produce section after a black widow spider bit him in the department, NJ.com said, citing the suit. Morristown Family Lawsuit: Daughter With Anxiety Was Bullied By Bridgewater School Counselor
The Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School and district are facing a lawsuit from a set of parents claiming that their disabled daughter's school counselor bullied and harassed her, NJ.com reports. The parents met with the counselor in the beginning of the 2017-18 school year when they moved from Morristown to Bridgewater, the suit says.
