Plainfield Homicide Unsolved Seven Years Later, Person Of Interest Sought: Authorities
It has been seven years since Shamar Coleman was fatally gunned down in Plainfield and police are still attempting to solve his murder. On Dec. 29, 2016, Plainfield police responded to Seafood Rama and found Coleman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, Union County Prosecutor William A. $10K Reward Offered In Deadly Elizabeth Shooting
A $10,000 reward is being offered in the shooting death of a 34-year-old man in an Elizabeth shooting Thursday night, authorities said. Shamar L. Brown, of Elizabeth, was found seriously injured at the intersection of Second Street and Bond Street around 8:30 p.m., Union County Prosecutor William Daniel, Elizabeth Police Director Earl Graves and Elizabeth Police Chief Giacomo Sacca said. Elizabeth Child, 3, Mauled By Dogs In Backyard, Killed After Fall From Window
A 3-year-old boy fell from a window of a home and was then attacked by dogs, killing him Wednesday in Elizabeth, authorities said. The boy was rushed to Trinitas Regional Medical Center with serious injuries after falling from a rear window on the 400 block of South 5th Street around 5:25 p.m., the Union County Prosecutor's Office said. The two dogs owned by the boy's family were in the fenced-in yard when he fell, authorities said. The "aggressive" pit bull then began tearing at the boy's legs, initial reports say. Authorities ID Man Stabbed Dead In Elizabeth
A 39-year-old man was stabbed to death Wednesday afternoon in Elizabeth, authorities said. Jermaine Brockington was rushed to Trinitas Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead just before 1 p.m., Acting Union County Prosecutor Lyndsay V. Ruotolo said.
