A Sussex County judge denied the release of a 20-year-old Morristown man arrested on vehicle theft charges in an alleged carjacking last week -- despite telling him he'd been talking to God and Jesus Christ in hopes of changing his ways. GNC on Wednesday released a list of stores that the company is closing in New Jersey and New York as part of its filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Police chased down and captured three Bronx men in Woodland Park moments after they robbed a Verizon store in Denville, authorities said. One of the defendants, Ysael Castro-Espinosa, 22, was caught with an Apple watch he took from the store employee who was forced to open a safe during Sunday night’s holdup just after 7 p.m. at the Route 10 store, they said. Hawthorne Traffic Stops: Three Lies, Three Heroin Busts
Three different drivers who weren’t truthful with Hawthorne police were found carrying heroin during separate stops, authorities said. Upstate New York driver Gregory Valentine, 48, “appeared very nervous and was shaking” when officers stopped his 2012 Honda Accord on Goffle Road near Warburton Avenue, Detective Sgt. New Jersey Senate Republican Conference Leader Anthony R. Bucco (R-Morris) died Monday. He was 81 years old. Bucco died of a heart attack at Saint Clare's Hospital in Denville, a spokesperson for the family said in a statement. A Boonton native, Bucco served in the New Jersey New Jersey Senate since 1998 representing the 25th Legislative District. Bucco served in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1957 to 1965. Denville School Principal Pleads Guilty To Child Abuse: Report
The principal of a Denville school who was arrested in May pleaded guilty Wednesday to child abuse, The Daily Record reported. Paul Iantosca, 52, of Randolph, who was principal of Valleyview School, was arrested on charges of attempted sexual assault, luring and child endangerment. Iantosca admitted in court he tried to arrange a meeting with a 16-year-old via Snapchat. Iantosca said he wanted to see the student, whom Ianstosca knew was a minor, in the nude. Denville PD: Randolph Dad Smoking Pot While Driving Had Toddler In Back Seat
A Randolph dad was not only smoking marijuana when police stopped him in Denville, but had his toddler in the car, said authorities who charged him. David C. Cozza, 54, on was smoking a marijuana cigarette when police stopped him around 8:30 p.m. June 24 on Franklin Road, Denville Police Capt. Jeffrey Tucker said. His 2-year-old child was also in the back seat, Tucker said. Cozza was charged with child abuse/neglect and marijuana possession. A first appearance in Morris County Superior Court is pending.

DWI Motorist Driving On Rim Fights With West Milford Police, Authorities Charge
A drunken motorist driving on a rim fought with West Milford police who took him into custody, authorities said. Officers Anthony Frassa and Jill Brickman had a pair of drug suspects stopped when they spotted the disabled car heading north, sparks flying, on Clinton Road near Route 23. “After getting the vehicle to stop, [Brickman] noticed vomit outside the driver’s door,” according to a police report.
