One Killed In Newark Crash: Prosecutor
One man was killed in a car crash in Newark on the early morning of Sunday, Aug. 4, authorities said. The crash occurred at 96 Delancy St., a spokesman for the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. An investigation is ongoing, authorities said.

Man Takes Fatal Leap From NJ Turnpike: Police
A 33-year-old man leapt to his death from a New Jersey Turnpike overpass in Newark Monday morning, authorities said. Alain Lopez-Dorado, of Union, jumped off of the Interchange 14 overpass around 8:40 a.m., New Jersey State Police Trooper Brandi Slota said. He apparently landed on Delancy Street, developing reports say. Lopez-Dorado was transported by EMS to the University Hospital where he died, Slota said. The investigation is active and ongoing.

Amazon Opens Another North Jersey Facility This Week
Amazon is opening another new delivery station in North Jersey this week. The 640,000 square-foot building Newark facility on Delancy Street will create 100 full- and part-time jobs all paying at least $15 an hour. : Driver Who Caused 3-Mile Oil Slick In Newark Comes Forward
No charges will be filed or summonses issued against the driver of a truck that leaked a 3-mile slick of used vegetable oil in Newark's Ironbound last week, police said. As it passed through the area around 3:40 p.m. Oct. 15, the truck left behind a trail on Wilson Avenue and on Stockton, Delancy, Adams and Thomas streets, snarling traffic as Hazmat teams covered the oil with sand. The driver turned himself in at 3rd Precinct headquarters Friday after police released photos of the truck and asked for the public's help identifying it. Police determined that the spill was a…
