Man Struck Dead By Family Member In Somerset County: Prosecutor A 41-year-old man was struck and killed by a vehicle driven by a family member over the weekend, authorities in Somerset County said. The unidentified victim was hit around 2:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, outside of his home on Clark Lane in Hillsborough, Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald said. The death remains under investigation by detectives pending an autopsy and toxicology report from the New Jersey Northern Regional Medical Examiner’s Office and the results of the Collision Analysis Reconstruction Team’s findings. Body Pulled From Passaic River A man's body was pulled from the Passaic River on Monday, Nov. 14, authorities said. The unidentified male was found unresponsive around 2 p.m., near Newark's Riverfront Park at Raymond Boulevard and Freeman Street, Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. No further information was available, and the incident remains under investigation.

Newark Police Release Details In Death Of Linden's Jeffrey Mendoza A 20-year-old Linden who had been missing for more than a week was found dead in Newark after falling from the Pulaski Skyway into an automobile yard, authorities said March 3. A widespread search was launched for Jeffrey Mendoza after he was reported missing around 9:45 p.m. Feb. 21.  Mendoza's vehicle was found in the northbound lanes of the Pulaski Skyway on Feb. 23, Newark Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose said. Death Of Hudson County Inmate Who 'Fell From Bed' Under Investigation The death of a 50-year-old inmate at the Hudson County Correctional Center is under investigation. Corrections officers responded to the cell of Jason Sworn after his cellmate told them he had fallen out of bed and was complaining of chest pain around 10:45 p.m. Monday, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. The responding officers attempted to perform CPR and used the defibrillator on Sworn.  The nurses at the facility, as well as the EMTs from Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, also responded.
