Englewood Bandits Carjack Terrorized Woman, Mug Man On Same Street
Two carjackers terrorized a female driver in Englewood overnight, taking her new SUV, moments after mugging a man on a nearby street corner, authorities said.
The first victim was waiting for a ride share on Engle Street shortly after midnight Saturday when the robbers approached him, Oct. 1, Police Lt. Fred Pulice said.
Believing they were armed, the frightened victim surrendered his backpack, phone and wallet, the lieutenant said.
The robbers got into a Mercedes Benz SUV and headed down Engle Street, where they victimized a female driver moments later, he said.

Bergenfield Man Pistol-Whipped, Carjacked Overnight, Police Say
A group of carjackers assaulted a Bergenfield man, taking his money, jewelry and Mercedes SUV before dawn, authorities said.
The victim told police he was pistol whipped by one of three bandits armed with handguns on Sugden Street, off South Prospect and West Clinton avenues, around 1 a.m. Thursday, March 17, Detective Lt. William Duran said.
He described them as Hispanic and wearing face coverings, the lieutenant said.

Five Morris County Corrections officers admitted using and sharing drugs including cocaine -- keeping them from ever getting a job in public employment ever again.
Corrections officers Dominick Andico, 33, Albert Wyman IV, 36, Robert Busold, 27, Brian T. Rzucidlo, 35, and Sheriff's Officer Nicholas Ricciotti, 31, plead guilty to various drug charges for buying, distributing and being in possession of cocaine starting in January 2018, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Two home invaders, one armed with a handgun, smashed their way into a Hackensack apartment overnight Thursday and robbed a couple of $53,000 worth of jewelry while their 3-year-old daughter slept in another room, authorities said.
The robbers broke the door frame, a lock and glass when they crashed into the Tracy Place apartment around midnight, Capt. Darrin DeWitt said.
One of them pointed a revolver at a female tenant’s head, ordering her to sit in a chair, DeWitt said.
