Knife-Wielding Man Arrested After Summit Church Fight: Police A 63-year-old man was arrested after a fight involving a knife at a Summit church on Tuesday, Sept. 12, police said. Derrick M. Jones, who police said is "unhoused,"  was charged with third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, following the 10:30 a.m. incident at Beacon Unitarian Universalist Congregation on Waldron Avenue, local police said. Police said only that they had responded to an altercation between two males involving a knife. After responding to the scene, police seized the knife and arrested Jones without incident. No injuries were reported.
