Authorities: Wyckoff Police Officer Sabotages Urban Porch Pirates
A pair of porch pirates managed to get themselves caught before they had a chance to strike again, thanks to a Wyckoff police officer, authorities said. Officer Robert Schlossberg paused when he spotted a Dodge Durango parked behind a UPS truck making a delivery on Godwin Avenue. As he watched, a female passenger approached the UPS driver, then hustled back to the SUV, which drove away, Lt. Joseph Soto said. Culprits Could Make It Easier Admitting To COVID, ‘Go Home To China’ Graffiti At Wyckoff Eatery
Whoever spray-painted “Go home to China,” “Coronavirus” and “COVID-19” on the windows and front sidewalk of a Wyckoff Chinese restaurant – whether adult or juvenile – faces severe penalties if caught by investigators, authorities said Wednesday. Detectives were reviewing area surveillance video and evidence collected by the Bergen County Sheriff’s Bureau of Criminal Identification following the overnight attack on Gourmet Garden Restaurant on Crescent Avenue. Wyckoff Pedestrian Hospitalized After Crash
A 57-year-old Wyckoff resident was hospitalized with injuries that weren’t considered life-threatening after being struck by a car Thursday night, authorities said. The victim was crossing Crescent Avenue going east when she was struck around 6:40 p.m. by the vehicle as its driver – a 38-year-old Wyckoff woman – turned left from eastbound Franklin Avenue, Lt. Joseph Soto. The Wyckoff Ambulance Corps took her to the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. The driver remained at the scene. No summonses were immediately issued, Soto said.
