A New Jersey attorney and prominent yacht club owner is facing assault and battery charges in Miami for bloody assault involving a glass cup on New Year's Day, according to a news report by Local10 and court records. A 48-year-old Union City man was arrested and charged on Wednesday, Nov. 6 with making sexual contact with a 6-year-ol girl earlier this year, authorities said. Edgar Fernando-Gomez made sexual contact with the girl in May at a residence in Jersey City, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. The victim was known to Fernando-Gomez, authorities said.
