Twelve-year Pequannock rescue squad member Matthew J. Mudd died after a fearless battle with cancer on Thursday, Sept. 29, just six days after his wedding. He was 33. Born in Bloomingdale, Matthew grew up in Kinnelon, where he graduated from Kinnelon High School, his obituary says. Matthew went on to attend Hudson County Community College and William Paterson University and had worked as a Territory Sales Manager for Makita USA, according to his memorial. Fairview Man Charged With Vehicular Homicide In Deaths Of Couple On GWB
Authorities charged a Fairview driver with two counts of vehicular homicide in the deaths of a Bronx couple killed in a crash Friday on the George Washington Bridge. Charles R. Wilson, 45, was heading toward New Jersey on the bridge’s lower level shortly before 9:30 a.m. Friday when his 2014 Chevy Corvette slammed into the rear of a 2011 Honda CRV, sending it crashing onto the divider, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. Blood Type Doesn't Increase Or Reduce Risk Of Contracting COVID, Studies Find
Amid the misinformation spread during the pandemic has been a belief that people with certain blood types are at higher or lower risk than others of contracting the coronavirus. Two recent studies from reputable sources, however, found that Type A blood doesn't increase the odds that you'll be infected.
