Two-Month-Old Dies In Elizabeth: Authorities
A two-month-old infant died in Elizabeth on Monday, Oct. 21, authorities said.
Police responded to a report of an unresponsive infant at Pingry Place, a spokeswoman for the city said. Both parents were working, and their eldest child was watching his younger siblings, including the infant, when the infant had a medical emergency, authorities said.
The infant was pronounced dead at Trinitas Hospital, authorities said.
The Division of Child Protection and Permanency was notified, authorities said. No foul play was suspected and the incident remains under investigation, authorities said.

Friends Raise Money For Jersey Shore Restaurant Owner's Wife After Serious Crash
Friends of Elena Spinosa, who was seriously injured in a car accident in Berkeley last month, are raising money to help cover her medical and child care expenses.
She lives in Toms River with her husband, Corrado, and their three children, Alessandra, Constantine and Dino.
Alessandra and Constantine, were passengers in the car during the Feb. 29 crash, but sustained minor injuries and are doing well, according to this Facebook page, where more than $9,000 had been raised as of Tuesday.
